The author of this homepage and of the Family Story Eyckers, age 79, was for about four decades head of the archive, library and documentation centre of parliament in the federal state of North-Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. For a couple of years he gathered information concerning the history of his ancestors (Eyckers and Rutten/Rütten), of his wife Lieselotte (Alester and Schmidt) and his children-in-law (Maluche/Golly, Tegel/Birk). In the course of the past 20 years he has collected all kind of documents (official and private), photos, slides, literature etc. filling more than 30 files. Upon request he is willing to pass these documents etc. to other genealogists dealing with one of the family branches.
